Scope of Project:
The Eastside Lofts development consisted of the renovation and restoration of the
Eastside
High School building, which was built in 1905 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The school building, originally known as
Little Rock
High School, served as
Little Rock’s premier high school until the early 1950s. In its time, this 65,000 square foot building was the largest school facility in
Arkansas.
Vanadis 3
served as the turn-key developer for the project, and thus provided consulting assistance, financial packaging, construction management, and tenant lease-up services.
Result:
Vanadis 3 and project team members successfully converted the
Eastside
High School into the Eastside Lofts, with 41 loft apartments designed for living and working in downtown
Little Rock. The property meets the demands of the rental housing market – providing residents with unique spaces featuring restored chalkboards and millwork, refinished hardwood and tile flooring, skylights and original double-hung windows.
