Scope of Project: Block 2 Lofts is a $21 million development encompassing the redevelopment and restoration of three National Register Buildings located in the heart of the Rivermarket Entertainment District. The three historic buildings include the Wallace Building (built in 1924), the Beal- Burrow Dry GoodsBuilding (1920) and the Democrat Printing and Lithograph Building(1924). Together, these buildings add up to 250,000 square feet, 33,000 being ground floor, commercial retail space.
Result: Vanadis 3 embraced the task of turning this valuable empty space into 145 loft apartments strengthened by a variety of commercial tenants. The Block 2 Lofts development has brought more downtown living to the ever-growing Rivermarket District of downtown Little Rock . Loft tenants enjoy such amenities as secured underground parking, onsite management, home office capabilities and incredible high rise views of the Arkansas River and the downtown skyline.
Residents and River Market visitors both now enjoy access to the variety of products and services offered in this development. Current commercial tenants include Gifts of Arkansas, The Coin and Stamp Shop, River Market Wine & Spirits, Firehouse Subs, San Francisco Bread Company, On the Rocks, The Net, and Arkansas Business Publishing Group.
